Lodi Historical Society receives Community Impact Grant from the Lodi Community Foundation

Yesterday, the Lodi Historical Society had the honor of accepting a $25,000 grant from the Lodi Community Foundation. These funds will directly support the continued preservation of Lodi’s original City Hall & Firehouse and its transformation into the first Lodi Historical Museum. We are completely overwhelmed and overjoyed by the support this project has received from the Lodi community. A special thanks to Louis & Vanessa from the Lodi Community Foundation for bringing down the big check and being such wonderful champions for our community. Thank you for inspiring us to continue our mission to preserve & protect our shared history!

We’d also like to take a moment to recognize the late John Ledbetter and the incredible impact he had on Lodi’s legacy. John was an early and avid supporter of the Firehouse project and the dream of a future Lodi Historical Museum. We are so grateful for his unwavering community spirit & dedication over his many years of service to Lodi.

If you’d like to join us in honoring John, a memorial service will be held at 10am this Thursday, July 2, at Episcopal Church of St. John the Baptist, 1055 S. Lower Sacramento Road. The service will also be livestreamed for those unable to make it in person.
